I am a relational psychotherapist and art therapist with over 20 years of experience providing individual and group therapy in the Chicago area. I practice from a multicultural, trauma-informed perspective and value the unique experiences and identities of each person, including differences in race, sexual orientation, gender identity, culture, and religion.
I work with adolescents (ages 12 and older) and adults, treating a wide range of concerns including PTSD and complex trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, narcissistic abuse recovery, parenting, women's issues, career transitions, dating, relationship concerns, divorce, and financial stress.
As someone with a creative background, I especially enjoy supporting artists and other creative individuals who are seeking to reconnect with or deepen their commitment to their creative practice while navigating life's challenges.
My approach is compassionate, direct, collaborative, and engaged. I believe therapy is most effective when it is built on a trusting relationship where you feel seen, heard, and respected. My work is relational, non-pathologizing, and tailored to each person's unique needs. Depending on your goals, I may incorporate mindfulness, creative expression, and other evidence-based approaches to support healing and growth. Together, we will explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, and develop more effective ways of navigating life's challenges. My hope is that our work will help you cultivate greater self-understanding, more fulfilling relationships, and a deeper sense of well-being.
